To learn how to operate the presentation system, click on the Presentation System Operation link or ask the DMC Fellow on site for assistance.

The tables and chairs in DL1 are on wheels allowing you to reconfigure the presentation area to your needs. When your activities have concluded the room should be reset to its default configuration by aligning the tables with the markings found on the floor.

Some general rules regarding DL 1 storage are listed below:

  • As space is limited, storage bins and spaces must be cleaned out by the end of the semester to accommodate new storage requests from patrons.
  • If your storage bin/space is not empty by the start of the following semester, Design Lab staff will dispose of and redistribute your materials as they see fit.
  • If more time is needed, you must contact the Design Lab Manager to confirm your renewed storage or continuous storage request.
  • Please note that storage will only be confirmed after the requestor in question receives a confirmation email from the Design Lab Manager.

If you would like to request storage in Design Lab 1, please complete the Google form here

When used properly the tools and resources in Design Lab 1 are safe. However, it is still important to review the lab policies and safety guidelines so that you know what to expect and what to do in the event of an emergency.
